Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mono-Black Aristocrats strategy commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, recurring creature fodder such as Forsaken Miner, Reassembling Skeleton, and Bloodghast, and sacrificing them to draw cards and trigger life drain across the table. Sephiroth acts as both a card advantage engine and a primary win condition, transforming into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel to create a permanent, non-interactable Super Nova emblem. The deck utilizes dense edict effects from creatures like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder to continuously suppress opposing boards while generating value. A suite of one-mana protection spells like Feign Death and Undying Malice ensures key creatures survive removal while triggering additional death effects. The deck wins around Turn 7 by compounding aristocrat drain triggers from Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Massacre Wurm alongside steady evasive combat damage.
