1-EDH Edgar Markov by user2449339

Format: Commander

Commander: Edgar Markov

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Edgar Markov is a Mardu Vampire token-aggro deck. Eminence turns every Vampire spell into a free 1/1, so the deck plays a low-curve creature chain and then amplifies the horde with anthem effects and drain triggers. A compact secondary win is the infinite-life-drain loop of Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose plus Bloodthirsty Conqueror, started by a life-loss trigger such as Bontu's Monument or Warleader's Call. Edgar himself supplies a hasty 4/4 clock and an attack trigger that puts +1/+1 counters on the entire team. There is no hidden commander; supporting legends such as Vito and Clavileno fill specific roles rather than replacing Edgar.
