Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered competitive mono-blue artifact combo and stax list piloted by Arcum Dagsson. The primary game plan uses explosive fast mana—such as Mishra's Workshop, Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Ancient Tomb—to deploy Arcum alongside cheap zero-mana artifact creatures like Memnite, Ornithopter, and Phyrexian Walker. Arcum sacrifices these creatures to tutor noncreature artifacts directly onto the battlefield. The deck can immediately execute an infinite mana and draw loop using Chromatic Orrery and Filigree Sages or Clock of Omens untap chains, finishing the table with Walking Ballista. Alternatively, Arcum can tutor asymmetric stax pieces like God-Pharaoh's Statue or Portal to Phyrexia to cripple opposing game plans while building toward a protected win. A comprehensive suite of free counterspells including Fierce Guardianship, Force of Will, and Pact of Negation shields the deck during its critical setup and execution windows.
