Deck overview

This competitive Sultai deck uses Leovold, Emissary of Trest, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Notion Thief to establish asymmetric lockouts while quickly tutoring for compact infinite combos. Its primary win condition is Witherbloom Apprentice paired with Chain of Smog, which drains all three opponents of 40 life on Turn 3. As a secondary route, Buried Alive sets up an instant-speed lethal damage loop with Necrotic Ooze, Phyrexian Devourer, and Triskelion. High-density fast mana like Mana Crypt and Mox Diamond allows the deck to deploy Leovold on Turn 1 or 2, followed immediately by wheel effects like Windfall, Dark Deal, or Teferi's Puzzle Box to strip opposing hands entirely. A rich suite of free countermagic and flexible removal protects the combo and disrupts opponents.
