Life is Painful by user5356836

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, serves as a command-zone lifegain engine, fueling a large life buffer and enabling the deck's primary win: an infinite lifegain-drain loop pairing a 'gain life => opponent loses life' piece (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, Enduring Tenacity, Sanguine Bond) with a 'opponent loses life => you gain life' piece (Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror). Secondary paths use lifegain beaters like Archangel of Thune and Voice of the Blessed, with recursion and draw spells ensuring resilience. The deck rarely needs to cast Oloro; his passive trigger is the hidden engine.
