Deck overview

This mono-green deck is commanded by Kona, Rescue Beastie and operates as a high-velocity permanent cheat strategy. By utilizing low-cost utility tap enablers such as Springleaf Drum, Paradise Mantle, Jaspera Sentinel, and tap-lands like Holdout Settlement, the deck reliably taps Kona the turn it enters or during combat without risking its life. This triggers Kona's Survival ability at the beginning of the second main phase to cheat game-ending permanents straight from the hand onto the battlefield as early as Turn 3 or 4. The payoff suite features brutal lock pieces like Void Winnower and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, alongside massive beatsticks such as Worldspine Wurm, Vaultborn Tyrant, and Craterhoof Behemoth. Supported by an extensive instant-speed protection suite, the deck quickly snowballs overwhelming board presence and closes out games by Turn 6 through massive, unblockable trample combat damage.
