Deck overview

Zedruu the Greathearted heads a classic Jeskai donation deck designed to disrupt opponents with detrimental gifts while drawing immense card advantage. The deck aims to control the table through defensive pillowfort pieces like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda while gifting crippling permanents like Steel Golem, Grid Monitor, Pyromancer's Swath, and Aggressive Mining. Its primary win condition pairs Fractured Identity with Transcendence to instantly eliminate all opponents at 20 or more life. Secondary paths to victory include casting and recasting Approach of the Second Sun fueled by Zedruu's massive upkeep card draw, or donating Illusions of Grandeur and letting cumulative upkeep force fatal life loss.
