Deck overview

This is a mono-blue scry/surveil control deck helmed by Matoya, Archon Elder. The core plan leverages Matoya's trigger-drawing a card on every scry or surveil-to convert a dense suite of cantrips, counters, and engines into overwhelming card advantage. That advantage fuels mill enchantments (Psychic Corrosion, Jace's Erasure, Mystic Redaction, The Water Crystal) while a deep counter suite protects the board. Secondary paths include laboratory-maniac wins via Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, token swarms from Talrand, Sky Summoner/Murmuring Mystic/Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, and value loops with Hullbreaker Horror or Mind Over Matter. The deck plays as a classic draw-go control shell that grinds value until libraries empty or a protected combo turn resolves.
