Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis typal midrange strategy uniting Assassins and Pirates under Edward Kenway. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost, evasive creatures such as Hookblade Veteran, Brotherhood Spy, and Kari Zev, Skyship Raider. Once Edward Kenway enters the battlefield on Turn 5, attacking with these creatures taps them to produce a burst of Treasure tokens at your end step. This surplus mana fuels mid-game card advantage engines like Coastal Piracy, Bident of Thassa, and Ezio, Blade of Vengeance, while cards like Conspiracy bridge typal synergies across both creature types. The deck closes the game around Turn 7-9 by converting its wide, Treasure-backed board into lethal combat swings using power multipliers like Shared Animosity, Dire Fleet Ravager, and typal lords. While strong in sustained combat and mana generation, the deck is vulnerable to board wipes and carries limited stack interaction.
