Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger and combat-copy strategy commanded by Muddle, the Ever-Changing. The game plan revolves around deploying high-impact nonlegendary utility and payoff creatures, then casting cheap instants or sorceries to transform Muddle into those creatures with the myriad ability. Attacking with Muddle creates temporary token copies that strike every opponent, resulting in massive mana generation through Storm-Kiln Artist and Goldspan Dragon, extensive card advantage through Archmage Emeritus and Curiosity Crafter, or defensive redirection through Brash Taunter. The deck accelerates its development with low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers, protected by free interaction such as Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat. It closes games around Turn 6 or 7 by deploying overwhelming burn combinations, such as a kicked Rite of Replication on Brash Taunter combined with Blasphemous Act, or by chaining multiple combat steps using Relentless Assault and Seize the Day.
