Deck overview

This deck is a Bant midrange stompy deck piloted by Helga, Skittish Seer. The deck focuses on casting creature spells with mana value 4 or greater, which consistently triggers Helga to draw cards, gain life, and accumulate +1/+1 counters. Helga's second ability converts her growing power into colored mana specifically restricted to casting large creatures or {X} cost spells, allowing the deck to rapidly deploy multiple massive threats each turn. The strategy supplements this core engine with +1/+1 counter multipliers like Hardened Scales and Conclave Mentor, along with secondary card-draw engines like Chulane, Teller of Tales and Garruk's Uprising. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat steps empowered by trample enablers and massive power boosters like Overwhelming Stampede and Knowledge Is Power, with additional board-control lines through Sludge Monster and Tidespout Tyrant.
