Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck uses K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to convert life into black mana, accelerating high-cost spells and triggering explosive win conditions turns ahead of schedule. The deck focuses on assembling redundant infinite combos, primarily pairing Aetherflux Reservoir with Leshrac's Sigil for infinite storm and life, Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose for infinite life drain, or Chainer, Dementia Master with Gray Merchant of Asphodel for recurring table-wide drain. Supported by dense 2-CMC mana rocks and graveyard tutors like Final Parting and Vile Entomber, the deck regularly threatens a Turn 4 win. While powerful and resilient to creature destruction through efficient reanimation spells, the deck relies heavily on its life total as fuel and struggles to interact with opposing noncreature spells, artifacts, or enchantments.
