Thranduil, the Elvenking v2 by AngelOfLight191

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

A BUG combo-elves deck built around Thranduil's graveyard-activated-ability toolbox. The primary plan is to ramp with one- and two-mana Elf druids, tutor key creatures into the graveyard (Buried Alive, Survival, Fauna Shaman), then use Thranduil or Necrotic Ooze to copy those abilities and generate virtually infinite mana, which Staff of Domination converts into draw and untaps. The win is usually Finale of Devastation for X 10 or more, or Shaman of the Pack with a huge Elf count. Secondary paths include Lathril token swarms and Ezuri overruns. The list is fast and consistent but vulnerable to graveyard and activated-ability hate, as well as board wipes.
