Deck overview

This deck is a 5-Color Polymorph control engine commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary game plan revolves around generating cheap creature tokens in the opening turns, deploying Jace on Turn 4, and immediately activating his minus-three loyalty ability to exile a token and cheat a game-warping creature or planeswalker directly onto the battlefield from the library. The payoff suite includes oppressive Praetors like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, resilient anchors like Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Serra's Emissary, and brutal combat finishers such as Archfiend of Despair and Archon of Cruelty. Redundant cheat spells including Transmogrify, Proteus Staff, and Mass Polymorph ensure consistent execution without relying solely on the commander. A robust package of free spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat protects the engine while heavy board wipes and combat taxes stabilize life totals until overwhelming combat damage closes out the game on Turn 7.
