Deck overview

This Commander deck is a Boros Soldier tribal aggro strategy led by Commander Mustard. The primary game plan develops an aggressive board of low-cost Soldier creatures and token generators during the opening turns, then deploys Commander Mustard to grant the entire army haste, trample, and vigilance. This immediate combat acceleration lets the deck initiate critical pressure around Turn 5, bypassing blockers and dealing direct ping damage to defending players. The deck rapidly scales its combat damage through powerful anthems such as Cathars' Crusade, Shared Animosity, and Warleader's Call, while token producers like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Horn of Gondor sustain the swarm. To defend against board wipes, the list packs a robust suite of instant-speed protection including Boros Charm and Unbreakable Formation. While the deck lacks countermagic and tutors, its dense functional redundancy, efficient removal package, and independent anthem backups ensure consistent aggression and a reliable clock against the table.
