Deck overview

Edgar Markov leads a Mardu Vampire deck that merges aggressive tribal swarm with aristocrat drain and infinite combos. Edgar Markov's eminence ability produces 1/1 Vampire tokens on every creature cast, providing sacrifice fodder, skullclamp targets, and early board presence without needing to cast the commander. The primary win condition pairs life-gain-to-drain effects like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Sanguine Bond with damage-to-lifegain triggers like Exquisite Blood and Bloodthirsty Conqueror for an infinite table kill. Fast mana from Dark Ritual, Culling the Weak, and Sol Ring accelerates deployment, while Drannith Magistrate and Opposition Agent slow opposing development. Card draw engines like Skullclamp and Necropotence sustain momentum, while Grand Abolisher and Ranger-Captain of Eos silence interaction on the winning turn.
