Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is led by Ares, God of War, utilizing a Villain tribal aggro framework focused on aggressive combat steps, death-triggered recursion, and menace evasion. Ares forces himself into combat each turn while providing insurance by returning any attacking creature that dies back to your hand. The supporting 99 features numerous Villain payoffs that generate menace tokens (Madame Hydra, Construct a Cosmic Cube, Minotaur, Roxxon CEO), reduce casting costs (Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, Tombstone, Career Criminal), and drain the table (Crossbones, Malicious Mercenary, Boomerang, Blade Flinger). With no fast mana rocks, the deck relies on basic landcycling to fix mana into an operational Turn 4 assembly. It applies broad mid-game pressure starting on Turn 6, aiming to eliminate the table by Turn 9 through evasive menace combat damage and incremental burn.
