Bard, King of Tokens by jeffhanrahan

Format: Commander

Commander: Bard, King of Dale

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is a 6-mana engine that doubles your extra draws and doubles tokens you create. The deck builds a wide board of Humans, Soldiers, Cats and Faeries, then uses redundant doublers (Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Elspeth) and anthems (Elesh Norn, Illustrious Wanderglyph) to turn small tokens into lethal combat damage. Secondary paths are a controlling blink loop with Displacer Kitten, Teferi, Time Raveler and Hullbreaker Horror plus fast mana, and a stax/value plan with Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe and Blind Obedience. Mondrak/Elspeth act as hidden commanders when Bard is taxed, and King T'Challa provides flash draw on the front face while its transform is rarely used.
