Deck overview

This Dimir deck, helmed by Lazav, the Multifarious, is a graveyard-centric reanimator/control hybrid whose primary win condition is turning the 1/3 Shapeshifter into a massive copy of a creature card in the graveyard. By binning Phyrexian Dreadnought, Eater of Days, or Hunted Horror with Entomb/Buried Alive/Unmarked Grave, Lazav becomes a 12/12 trample or 9/8 flying trample for a fraction of its mana cost, closing games through commander damage. A dense draw suite (Necropotence, Mystic Remora, Windfall) and a counterspell/removal shell keep the table honest while Lazav beats down. Backup lines include traditional reanimation via Reanimate/Animate Dead and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant as a control finisher.
