Deck overview

This Golgari deck is an aristocrats combo engine piloted by Chatterfang, Squirrel General. The strategy accelerates on Turn 1 with 1-mana dorks into an early commander deployment, quickly setting up token production. Chatterfang multiplies every token creation event by adding 1/1 green Squirrels, which fuel sacrifice outlets, card draw, and removal. The primary win conditions consist of compact infinite combos, most notably Chatterfang paired with Pitiless Plunderer and a drain piece like Blood Artist, or the two-card synergy between Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak. Tutors like Protean Hulk, Eldritch Evolution, and Diabolic Intent provide exceptional consistency, while low-cost recursion like Reanimate and Animate Dead ensures the deck recovers swiftly from removal. Lacking blue countermagic, the deck relies on proactive creature removal via Chatterfang and high redundancy to close games on Turn 4.
