Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Vampire tribal and aristocrats strategy led by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's eminence ability from the command zone to generate a 1/1 Vampire token with every Vampire spell cast, rapidly building a wide creature board without needing to cast the commander early. The deck converts this wide token presence into card advantage through engines like Skullclamp, Welcoming Vampire, and Tocasia's Welcome. As the board expands, force multipliers such as Shared Animosity, Cathars' Crusade, and Purphoros, God of the Forge turn small attackers into lethal combat threats, while blood-drain effects like Cruel Celebrant, Vein Ripper, and Sanctum Seeker bleed opponents down. If combat stalls, the deck can pivot into an infinite life-drain loop with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Cliffhaven Vampire. Strong spot removal and protection spells like Teferi's Protection support a resilient, continuous assault.
