KOTIS MUTATE by IMP0ST0

Format: Commander

Commander: Kotis, the Fangkeeper

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sultai deck helmed by Kotis, the Fangkeeper is a midrange value engine that leverages the commander's indestructible body and combat-damage trigger to exile opponents' libraries and cast their spells for free. The deck supports this plan with a mutate subtheme: cheap or repeatable mutate creatures (Pollywog Symbiote, Dreamtail Heron, Boneyard Lurker) provide card selection, ramp, and removal triggers that can stack on a single creature to compound value. Felix Five-Boots doubles all combat-damage triggers, including Kotis's exile effect and the card draw from Sea-Dasher Octopus. Pumping Kotis's power via Power Fist or Forgotten Ancient increases the exile volume and lets you cast higher-mana spells from opponents' decks. The deck wins through overwhelming value-casting multiple free spells per combat, burying opponents in card advantage, and assembling a board of large mutate creatures that drain life and control the table.
