K'rrik B3 rev. 3 by maggina

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black K'rrik deck uses life as mana to accelerate into large drain finishes. K'rrik lets you pay 2 life for each black pip, so you cast tutors, draw engines, and ramp ahead of curve and then convert that advantage into a one-turn kill. The main wins are doubled Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire with Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Gray Merchant loops with Chainer, and Aetherflux Reservoir storm, often set up by Bolas's Citadel or Peer into the Abyss. Skirge Familiar and Necrotic Ooze with Asmodeus provide an alternate infinite-mana and draw engine. Bolas's Citadel and Chainer act as hidden commanders that can win without K'rrik.
