Deck overview

This deck is a classic Orzhov Aristocrats strategy commanded by Teysa Karlov. Its primary objective is to assemble a resilient engine of recurring token generators, free sacrifice outlets, and life-draining death payoffs. With Teysa Karlov on the battlefield, every creature death trigger resolves twice, doubling both the damage dealt by cards like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats, and the card advantage drawn from engines like Skullclamp and Grim Haruspex. The deck leverages asymmetric stax and board control through Grave Pact and Tergrid, God of Fright, forcing opponents to sacrifice their creatures in pairs whenever a token dies. Mana acceleration from Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, and Warren Soultrader fuels explosive mid-game turns, while mass recursion cards like Living Death provide robust recovery against sweepers. The deck steadily grinds down the table, closing the game around Turn 8 through continuous, unblockable life loss.
