Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck centers on Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape to turn every noncreature spell into table-wide burn while utilizing his Adventure half as built-in impulse card advantage. The deck accelerates in the early turns using efficient mana rocks, rituals like Pyretic Ritual and Jeska's Will, and cost reducers like Ruby Medallion. By Turn 4, it establishes Gandalf alongside mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling or Storm-Kiln Artist and damage multipliers such as Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus. On Turn 5, it launches a decisive storm turn, chaining impulse draw spells and rituals while Virtue of Courage or Underworld Breach ensures continuous card flow. The resulting cascade of noncreature triggers burns all three opponents from 40 to 0 in a single turn. A flexible interaction suite featuring Deflecting Swat, redirect effects, and red countermagic defends the engine against opposing disruption.
