Deck overview

This Grixis deck blends spellslinger burn with discard-driven card advantage. Led by Kefka, Court Mage, the strategy revolves around establishing cheap Wizard and pinger engines like Vivi Ornitier, Black Waltz No. 3, and Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. When Kefka enters or attacks, it strips cards from every player and draws fresh cards for each discarded card type, refueling your hand to chain low-cost noncreature spells. As spells are cast, pingers deal direct damage to all opponents simultaneously, bypassing blockers and taxing life totals. Support cards like Electro, Assaulting Battery and Cormela, Glamour Thief provide mana velocity, while backup threats such as Ovika, Enigma Goliath and Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind close the game if Kefka is answered. The deck controls the board with versatile removal and countermagic while steadily grinding opposing resources down through discard.
