Deck overview

This Izzet Spellslinger deck is commanded by Vivi Ornitier, an engine that grows in power, deals group noncombat damage on noncreature casts, and generates mana equal to its power. The primary strategy centers on attaching Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout to Vivi. Because Vivi deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, each spell draws 3 cards. The pilot chains low-cost cantrips, fast mana rocks, and rituals, refueling continuously and generating mana with Vivi's {0} ability to burn out the table in a single turn. Backup win conditions include the classic Niv-Mizzet, Parun plus Curiosity infinite draw-damage loop and Underworld Breach recursion. The deck is shielded by a dense suite of free and efficient counterspells, ensuring high velocity and robust protection.
