Deck overview

This deck is built around Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, turning combat damage into multiple consecutive upkeep steps. The strategy uses low-cost mana rocks to deploy Obeka ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4, paired with unblockable equipment like Brotherhood Regalia and Whispersilk Cloak. When Obeka hits an opponent, each point of damage grants an additional post-combat upkeep step. These extra upkeeps trigger scaling damage engines like Descent into Avernus, discard engines like Court of Ambition, and board-flooding threats like Dragonmaster Outcast. With power-doubling spells such as Two-Handed Axe and Unleash Fury, Obeka can generate 4 to 8 upkeeps in a single turn, rapidly accelerating lethal table-wide burn. The deck protects its commander using shroud, hexproof, and ward equipment backed by efficient countermagic.
