Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Big Spells and Polymorph strategy commanded by Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound. The game plan focuses on casting Ashling, Rekindled on turn 2 and transforming her into Ashling, Rimebound on turn 3 to produce two bonus mana for high-cost spells. This mana accelerates the deployment of heavy mana rocks like Thran Dynamo and Hedron Archive. By turn 4, the deck reaches seven to eight mana, enabling it to establish duplication engines like Double Vision and Swarm Intelligence, or transmute tokens and the commander into massive threats via Polymorph and Reality Scramble. The creature suite is strictly limited to high-impact bombs: Vision, Spectral Synthezoid, Zaffai and the Tempests, Impulsivity, and The Dawning Archaic. On turns 5 to 6, the deck reaches critical onset by resolving decisive sorceries such as kicked Rite of Replication, Soulfire Eruption, or Blatant Thievery, closing out the game across two subsequent turn cycles.
