God Dammit by Tagordon

Format: Commander

Commander: Child of Alara

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a five-color "Gods tribal" deck helmed by Child of Alara, built around the classic synergy of pairing a board-wiping commander with an army of indestructible Theros Gods. The primary plan is to ramp heavily, deploy a critical mass of Gods so their devotion thresholds are met, and then leverage Child of Alara's death trigger - or the three symmetric wipes in the 99 - to destroy everything while the indestructible enchantment creatures survive untouched. The deck wins through combat damage from large God bodies, incremental drain from Mogis, God of Slaughter, Keranos, God of Storms, and Klothys, God of Destiny, and the alternate win-con of Vraska, Golgari Queen's emblem. It is a slow, value-driven midrange deck with no fast combos, relying on inevitability through indestructible permanents and repeated board resets.
