Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos aggressive midrange strategy centered on Ozai, the Phoenix King. It leverages firebending combat triggers to generate bursts of red mana, which Ozai banks permanently across phases and turns. Once you accumulate six or more unspent mana, Ozai becomes a 7/7 flying, trample, indestructible threat that presents a fast commander damage clock. The surplus mana fuels expensive haymakers such as The Rise of Sozin // Fire Lord Sozin, continuous combat steps via Aggravated Assault, or massive burn spells. Complementing the aggressive beatdown plan is a Clue-token engine that converts excess mana into card draw, alongside a game-ending two-card infinite combo in Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Sanguine Bond. The deck excels at generating overwhelming mana and commanding the combat step, though it remains vulnerable to instant-speed exile removal and stack-based combo decks due to limited protective spells and reactive countermagic.
