Deck overview

Wick, the Whorled Mind leads a Grixis Rat-tribal engine built around a single growing Snail token. Changeling creatures and token generators such as Lord Skitter, Sewer King and Black Market Connections ensure every Rat creature type enters often, so each Rat pumps the Snail; sacrificing the Snail to Wick deals damage to every opponent and refuels the hand. Equipment like Cranial Plating and Improvised Arsenal turn artifact count into extra power, while Virtue of Knowledge doubles the Snail's growth and Vantress Visions doubles the payoff. The deck can pivot from snail-burn to changeling voltron, but its core is an incremental counter engine that needs a few turns to set up enough Rats and artifacts.
