Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mardu Vampire tribal aggro list commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire creature spell is cast, effortlessly going wide while developing early board presence. The deck curves low-mana threats into tribal lords such as Stromkirk Captain, Legion Lieutenant, and Captivating Vampire, using mass anthems like Shared Animosity to turn small creature swarms into lethal combat damage. Aristocrat pieces including Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant provide reach and punish opponents for clearing the board. Card advantage is maintained through token-based engines like Welcoming Vampire, Skullclamp, and Idol of Oblivion. While the strategy is resilient against single-target removal thanks to free token generation, it relies on combat connections and remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes and pillowfort effects.
