Ringwraiths v2 by Ismur

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis value-midrange deck helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord, built around the Ring tempts you mechanic and amass Orcs. The commander provides a powerful draw engine-whenever the Ring tempts you, you may discard your hand and draw four cards-while also generating an Army token each time an opponent casts a spell. The deck leans heavily into a Wraith tribal subtheme with nine copies of Nazgul, Lord of the Nazgul, and Witch-king of Angmar, using the Ring tempts you triggers to pump the team and create additional Wraith tokens. Primary win conditions are combat damage from a growing Army token, a swarm of Wraiths, or reanimated threats like Smaug, Wicked Worm and Cavern-Hoard Dragon. Recursion spells such as Living Death and Reanimate provide resilience, while Orcish Bowmasters and Notion Thief punish opponent draw. The deck aims to outvalue opponents through incremental card advantage and token generation, then close out with overwhelming board presence.
