4 - God of the Library by Catylist

Format: Commander

Commander: The Locust God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Izzet draw-matters build helmed by The Locust God, where every card drawn becomes a 1/1 flying, haste Insect token. The deck's engine is a massive, redundant draw suite - Teferi's Ageless Insight, Vnwxt, Verbose Host, Archmage of Runes, Baral, Chief of Compliance, and a pile of X-draw spells like Invoke the Firemind, Pull from Tomorrow, and Mind Spring - that rapidly converts into an overwhelming token army. The primary win is combat: the Insect swarm pumped by Shared Animosity, Enduring Courage, and Defaced Gallery, finished with a Great Train Heist extra combat. Secondary lines include Laboratory Maniac draw-out and Atemsis, All-Seeing's alternate win. A Rooms subtheme (Smoky Lounge // Misty Salon, Keys to the House, Mirror Room // Fractured Realm) provides mana and trigger doubling. The deck is a value engine first, a combo deck never - it wins by burying opponents in card advantage and flying bodies.
