Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet spellslinger and ping-burn engine led by Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. Ghyrson turns every single point of incidental damage into a lethal three-damage blast. The deck accelerates through early fast mana into Ghyrson alongside cheap pingers like Coruscation Mage, Erebor Flamesmith, and Thermo-Alchemist. Casting sequences of cheap cantrips and interaction rapidly shreds opposing life totals while wiping utility creatures off the board. In addition to raw burn, the deck integrates compact win conditions including Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal and Niv-Mizzet, Parun paired with Tandem Lookout. Strong card draw engines like The One Ring, Rhystic Study, and Mystic Remora keep resources overflowing. The deck protects its board with premium free countermagic like Force of Will and Pact of Negation, alongside split-second protection from Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun. Overall, it exerts extreme tempo pressure, dominating the board before closing out the table.
