Deck overview

This is a general-purpose mono-green creature deck built around Ghalta, Primal Hunger reducing its own cost through total creature power. Early mana creatures, Wild Growth, Sol Ring, and land-ramp creatures accelerate into large threats. The deck then uses Surrak, the Hunt Caller for haste, Garruk's Uprising and Ohran Frostfang for card flow, and Overrun or Blossoming Bogbeast to convert a wide board into combat damage. Its ordinary operational setup is around turn 5, with a decisive combat board around turn 7. It can usually pressure one opponent first and finish the table over later attacks, but it does not have a compact combo or a total lock. Removal is broad against creatures, artifacts, and enchantments, but mostly conditional or sorcery-speed. Protection is limited to Swiftfoot Boots and Autumn's Veil, so sweepers, exile effects, countermagic, and opposing fast combos remain major problems.
