Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Red Dragon Stompy build commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy focuses on deploying efficient mana rocks and tribal cost-reducers—such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn—to accelerate into high-impact flying threats. Once Lathliss, Dragon Queen enters the battlefield on Turn 5, casting subsequent Dragons triggers a compounding army of 5/5 flying tokens. Synergistic payoffs like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, Utvara Hellkite, and Terror of Mount Velus rapidly turn creature deployment into overwhelming direct burn and lethal combat steps, establishing a critical clock by Turn 6 and threatening a full table finish around Turn 8. The deck features strong creature-based redundancy and powerful wipe options like Blasphemous Act, but it operates with minimal stack interaction and limited board protection outside of Swiftfoot Boots. Consequently, it relies heavily on proactive aggression and the raw stats of its airborne threats to overwhelm opponents before they can assemble faster combo wins.
