Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy led by Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher. The game plan revolves around forcing symmetrical sacrifices through edict creatures like Fleshbag Marauder and Accursed Marauder, turning those sacrifices into asymmetric advantage. Whenever any player sacrifices a permanent, Carmen grows larger and gains life, rapidly scaling into a lethal airborne threat. When Carmen attacks, she reanimates a permanent with mana value equal to or less than her power directly to the battlefield. This allows the deck to repeatedly recur sacrifice outlets, card draw engines, and self-sacrificing protection pieces like Selfless Savior and Alseid of Life's Bounty. High-impact attrition pieces like Braids, Cabal Minion, Dictate of Erebos, and Tergrid, God of Fright strip opposing boards while Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Syr Konrad, the Grim drain the table. The deck finishes games through massive commander combat damage, wide token swarms, or explosive turns powered by Living Death and Bolas's Citadel.
