Format: Commander

Commander: Nath of the Gilt-Leaf

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Under Nath of the Gilt-Leaf, this is a Golgari discard-and-token engine. Its primary plan is to land Nath early, force opponents to discard with Syphon Mind, Delirium Skeins, Dark Deal, and upkeep pings, then convert every discarded card into Elf tokens. Mass-discard payoffs like Megrim, Waste Not, and Tergrid punish the same triggers, while Elf lords and mana dorks develop the board. The commander is the central trigger; without him the deck falls back to Elf tribal and graveyard value. The closest hidden-commander-like payoff is Tinybones, Trinket Thief, rewarding the same empty-hand plan. Secondary kill lines are Craterhoof/Ezuri overrun, Shaman/Lathril drain, and Tinybones's empty-hand activation.
