Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger burn strategy commanded by Vivi Ornitier. Vivi functions as both a scaling damage engine and a ritual mana outlet. Each noncreature spell cast places a +1/+1 counter on Vivi and deals 1 damage to each opponent, while Vivi's {0} activation converts that accumulated power directly into colored mana once each turn. The 99 is optimized to support this velocity with a deep package of 1-mana cantrips, cost reducers, and redundant burn pingers such as Guttersnipe, Firebrand Archer, and Coruscation Mage. Because Vivi generates mana rather than cards, maintaining a full hand requires engines like Archmage Emeritus, Archmage of Runes, or Curiosity. A dense suite of 1-mana hexproof and counter protection safeguards Vivi from spot removal, allowing the deck to establish a commanding board state on Turn 5 and close out the table through stacked spell triggers on Turn 6.
