Deck overview

The deck's primary plan is a fast two-card combo: put Mikaeus, the Unhallowed onto the battlefield, then cast Walking Ballista with at least two counters. The Ballista repeatedly dies at zero toughness and returns through undying, producing unlimited damage. Entomb and Reanimate provide a compact route to Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, while broad tutors find either combo piece. Korvold, Fae-Cursed King supplies a strong secondary engine: fetchlands, mana artifacts, Goblin Bombardment, Viscera Seer, and Phyrexian Tower turn sacrifices into cards and mana. Fast mana supports early combo attempts, and the deck has meaningful protection through Deflecting Swat, Veil of Summer, and anti-blue effects. Its main limitation is that the combo pieces are individually vulnerable and the first assembly checkpoint does not itself provide card advantage. The ordinary reliable clock is around turn 5, although exceptional hands can be much faster.
