Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis spellslinger/storm strategy helmed by Fire Lord Azula, leveraging her firebending combat mana and spell-copying trigger to chain rituals, copy effects, and extra combat steps into a massive burst turn. The primary game plan involves deploying Azula with haste, attacking to generate {R}{R} while copying the first spell cast each combat, then using extra combats (Seize the Day) to multiply mana and spell copies until an infinite mana loop (Reiterate + Seething Song) or a critical mass of copied burn/draw spells eliminates the table. Secondary win conditions include Repercussion + Blasphemous Act for board-wide burn, large Expansion // Explosion copied multiple times, or simply overwhelming value from Veyran, Voice of Duality and Storm-Kiln Artist. The deck combines premium tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor), efficient countermagic, and a dense ritual package to execute its game-winning turn reliably despite moderate natural draw.
