A Pirate's Life for Me by user9552548

Format: Commander

Commander: Edward Kenway

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Pirate/Vehicle tribal strategy helmed by Edward Kenway, designed to generate overwhelming Treasure tokens and steal opponents' cards. The primary game plan involves deploying a swarm of Pirates and Vehicles, attacking to trigger Edward's end-step token generation and his Vehicles' exile-and-cast ability. The deck wins either through the alternate condition of Revel in Riches (ten Treasures at upkeep) or Mechanized Production (eight artifacts with the same name), or by chaining extra turns via Time Sieve and extra combats via Port Razer to overwhelm the board. Card advantage comes from combat-triggered draw engines like Coastal Piracy and Fearless Swashbuckler, while Pitiless Plunderer and Black Market Connections accelerate the Treasure hoard. The strategy is incremental and value-oriented, leaning heavily on the commander's trigger to snowball.
