Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red artifact reanimation and spellslinger strategy commanded by Mica, Reader of Ruins. The primary game plan revolves around using cheap red draw and looting spells—such as Faithless Looting, Cathartic Reunion, and Demand Answers—to quickly filter through the library, discard enormous artifact threats, and draw into reanimation spells. Once Mica is deployed on Turn 4, casting Trash for Treasure allows the deck to sacrifice disposable artifacts like Ichor Wellspring and Chromatic Star to copy the spell, reanimating two massive threats in a single turn. Powerful payoffs include Myr Battlesphere, Phyrexian Triniform, Wurmcoil Engine, and Darksteel Forge. While the engine generates substantial card flow and explosive board states, it operates primarily at sorcery speed, lacks compact infinite combos, and relies on surviving multiple combat steps to close out the table.
