Smaug Daug by user6235129

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure deck that aims to explode into dozens of artifacts and convert them into global damage. The commander is a hasty evasive finisher whose attack damage scales with the number of Treasures, acting as both removal and a lethal threat. Secondary paths use Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist to turn artifact creation into table-wide burn, Alchemist's Talent to punish Treasure-fueled spells, and Hellkite Tyrant or Knuckles the Echidna for artifact-count wins. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Smaug but remains functional if he is removed or never cast.
