Format: Commander

Commander: Shorikai, Genesis Engine

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Shorikai, Genesis Engine is the deck's engine rather than its finisher: it loots two cards, discards one, and makes Pilots that crew it and feed Skullclamp. The primary plan is the Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista lifelink loop, fetched by Enlightened Tutor and Fabricate. Backup lines include Displacer Kitten + Teferi, Time Raveler + Sol Ring for infinite mana and draw, and Shorikai + Intruder Alarm + Ashnod's Altar into Laboratory Maniac. Stax/control pieces such as Narset, Drannith Magistrate, Winter Orb, and Grand Abolisher buy setup time. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built entirely around the single-faced Shorikai.
