Smaug, Glittering Dragons by user9546962

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Built around Smaug the Impenetrable as an 8/7 haste beater and treasure engine, the deck damages its own commander-via Chain Lightning, Fire Covenant, Pyrohemia, or Pestilence-to generate Treasures. Those Treasures fuel big X-spells, drain effects, and alternate wins. The cleanest secondary line is Brash Taunter + Blazing Sunsteel: one point of damage begins an infinite loop. The supporting Smaug legends, especially Smaug the Magnificent, act as a hidden 'Smaug package' that keeps the plan running if the commander is unavailable. Primary threats are Crackle with Power, Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and infinite damage from Brash Taunter.
