Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet spellslinger and storm combo deck commanded by Veyran, Voice of Duality. Veyran acts as a powerful trigger amplifier, doubling every Magecraft and spell-trigger ability on your permanents. The deck leverages cheap cantrips, cost reducers, and mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling to generate overwhelming card velocity and mana. It wins decisively through compact infinite combos, most notably Dualcaster Mage copying Twinflame or Molten Duplication to create infinite hasty tokens, or looping Haze of Rage with Storm-Kiln Artist to create infinite mana and pump the board. Alternate win paths include direct noncombat damage from Coruscation Mage, Vivi Ornitier, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Supported by free and low-cost interaction like Deflecting Swat and Mana Drain, the deck reliably assembles its engine by Turn 4 and executes a same-turn lethal finish on Turn 5.
