Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange strategy commanded by Kang, Temporal Tyrant. It focuses on triggering 'second card drawn each turn' mechanics to drain opposing life totals while building card advantage and board presence. The game plan develops smoothly by establishing early mana with basic-land cyclers and fixing lands, deploying Kang on Turn 4, and initiating regular attacks to connive and drain. Secondary engines like Homunculus Horde and Foggy Swamp Spirit Keeper convert regular cantrips into swarms of tokens. High-impact planeswalkers such as The Theorist, Jace Beleren and Narset, Parter of Veils provide card advantage while restricting opposing draw steps. Defensive interaction includes efficient countermagic like Negate and versatile removal such as Bilbo's Deadly Slice, backed by The Echoverse Fulcrum as an emergency reset. Graveyard recursion cards like Pull from the Grave and Prison Break ensure resilient recovery after board wipes, enabling the deck to close games through compounding combat pressure and steady life drain.
